The Academy's direction
In October 2021, backed by SUBATRA and UNOPS, the Academy held a participatory strategic performance planning activity in General Santos City to update its strategic direction for the transition period.
Support to the Bangsamoro Transition (SUBATRA) Programme
Funded by the European Union and run with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), SUBATRA backed the Academy's strategic performance planning, study tours on running a training centre and a training of trainers on strategic development planning.

What We Did Together
SUBATRA helped the Academy plan its direction, prepare its training centre and train trainers.
Study tours on training facilities
In March 2022, the Academy's officials and staff, with the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority, visited the Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute Foundation and the Ateneo de Davao University to learn about setting up and running a training facility, for the planned refurbishment of the Academy's training centre.
Training of trainers
In February 2024, SUBATRA and the Academy ran a five-day training of trainers on strategic development planning in General Santos City, for current and aspiring trainers.
Planning and coordination
SUBATRA met the Academy on capacity development in January 2021 and held a workshop on its inception report, capacity baseline report and annual workplan in February 2021. In August 2023, SUBATRA and UNOPS visited the Academy, which thanked SUBATRA for its series of capacity development programmes.
